Merry Christmas!!!

Jingle Bells all the way and it is the time of year I miss my school and Christmas festivities a lot!!!
Hello friends!

Wishing you all a merry Christmas and happy new year. There are a couple of Christmas cards lined up and here is the first one :)

I stamped the holly tree which is close to 6 inches tall on a white cardstock using Ranger Archival Black Ink and colored using watercolors the leaves and berries. I sponged some lime green chalk ink on the entire tree and cut it out as a triangle.
I then stamped the sentiment in Red cardstock and fuzzy cut it out and adhered to the tree.
I wanted to give a night background to this. So I sponged some Peacock feathers, Blue chalks and tuxedo black inks to give a light sponged effect. Finally added some stars using Signo White Gel pen.

These gorgeous stamps are from CraftyScrappers!

#ReusewithKrafttime Day 6 - Colorful Crosswords

Hey there!
Hope you are all doing great today. Today there was an exciting news with me getting featured as the guest designer at Mudra. Head over to see the full post here.

Not to forget our own resolution to use up the less used items, I am here today to share a colorful card using very minimal supplies. Sketches and stamps. (Stamps can  be definitely optional for this card too)

Here you go first!

To create this card, I marked down the crossword area with black fine tip pen and just randomly decided the words that I am going to use. I wanted this to be a birthday card, So the "Happy Birthday" is stamped using a seperate color. I have used the alphabets stamp sets from Mudra for this. The empty spaes were then colored using normal sketch pens that you get in your stationery shops for 15 rupees.!!!!

We have all moved to speciality inks, Distress, pign=ments, brush pens, and what not! but those poor sketches were our starting point in childhood days. So get back to your sketches, they do come in useful in very vibrant tones.

I have also added so pearl finish heart stikers that were lying unused.

I am entering it to the below challenges. Hope you like it! Do join in om my journey to "Use up your stash" this month.

Peek-a-Boo Designs – Chirping Away Stampset

Hi all,
Today I am sharing two cards that I made using the “Chriping Away” stamp set that I won from the Peek-a-boo Designs Giveaway. First up, Many many thanks to Vidushi Saraf  for sending me this super cute stamp set which has 15 stamps in it!! Can you believe my luck winning this J . This stampset is designed by the extremely talented Deepti Stepens

The first card is a lovely sunny morning scene that I created using Distress Mini Kit #1 for the background. I stamped the Gate, branches and leaves and two cute birdies from the stampset. I colored the images using watercolor pencils. The birdies were colored , fuzzy cut and then adhered using foam tapes for extra dimension. To go along with the background, I chose the sentiment “Wishing you a sunny day”.

For the next card, I wanted to have the same elements but a different time setting, so chose a night scene. In comes the house and the birdies have gone to sleep :P I added some tiny flowers on the branches and leaves and stars on the night sky. For this card I chose the sentiment “Find Beauty in EVERYDAY LIFE”. It went so well with the simple down-to-earth elements.

I am in so much love with this stampset. There are infinite possibilities that you can create with this. I will be using this very frequently for sure !!!!

Thank you once again Vidu for this wonderful gift.

Entering this to the below challenges.

Cheerful Love

Hi all,
I was in a mood to create some basic shape stamps using rubber. Yes, carving some fun shapes is a really good way to de-stress!
I carved a zig zag wave onto a piece of eraser and from the other piece I cut out a strip. I have used them in the cards below.

I have inspired from 2 moodboards here.

I inked up the handmade stamps in distress inks and created some fun patterns in the corners. Added a dash of hearts on the cards and a 'With Love' sentiment from HOTP stampset.
To keep the card bright and cheerful I have added a couple of bright yellow flowers.
