Flying by to say HELLO!!

Hi all, A quick entry to a couple of challenges today! This is a simple CAS card with a  quilled butterfly. Getting back to quilling after a really long time. So kept it very basic here. The sentiment and flower stamps are from Peek-a-boo designs’ “Chirping away” stampset. I have used ‘3’ stamps in total as is the requirement for LIM.

Explosion Box with Cake Surprise

Hi all, Get ready for a picture heavy post! This is one of the explosion boxes that I custom made for a friend to be given on his wife’s birthday.

The base is made out of 12X12 sheet and the ox has three layers to it before opening up to a yummy paper cake. The request was to stick to purple tones so the main elements are all in purple and then colors that blend well together. All purple roses on the cake are handmade . So are the flowers on the lid. Some quilled and some lacey! Some pretty doilies adorn the outside of the explosion box. Here are some more pictures!

Let me know what you feel about this guys!! Love Uma!!!

Chirping away Stampset- Take two!

Hi all, Today I am sharing two cards that I made using the “Chriping Away” stamp set that I won from the Peek-a-boo Designs Giveaway. First up, Many many thanks to Vidushi Saraf  for sending me this super cute stamp set which has 15 stamps in it!! Can you believe my luck winning this J . This stampset is designed by the extremely talented Deepti Stepens

For first card I repeatedly stamped the flying bird multiple times in a circle and colored them using  mustard seed DI and color pencild. Then stamped the sentiment "Flying by to say Hello" fromt he same set!
For the next card, I wanted to have the same elements but wanted to try a different technique. So took the same flying bird stamp and reverse stamped it on to the card [It ends up as a second generation stamp] Then I stamped the image as in next to the cutie birdie. Now it looks like they are two birds in love!!!! Added a heart to show the love :) The brances were repeatedly stamped to create a tree effect.
I am in so…
