Pretty In Pink - ICR Challenge [Flowers + No Cards]

Hello Friends ,
Here to share a quick embellishment I made using some really pretty pattern papers with flowers.
This is a simple origami dress fold created using 5" X 5" square piece of pattern paper. It is really quick and east to do and makes fun embellishments for girly-girl cards.

Right in time for International Women's day too!
Happy Women's day to all you wonderful people out there and my crafty friends!!

In Dreams And In Love - A Rainbow masked card + Tutorial

Hi all!!!
I have a very refresing card + tutorial for you. I am playing along Paru's Card Making Challenges this month and the challenge is to use a masking technique. I have created the card below which is a rainbow panel using masking technique.

Know what? You do not need many colors on your pallete to create this. I have just 4 pads of distress ink + my black archival. Those are the colors that i used to get this color blast. Since the theme was to include colors too, I felt how more apt can you get than to include as much as possible.

Take a look at the card first :)

Tutorial:
To make this card I used a piece of cardstock along with inks in Tim Holtz mini ink kit #1 [Mustard Seed, Spiced Marmalade, Peacock feathers, Picked Raspberry] .

Then I took some washi tape and masked the entire card using the strips like below.

Once I did that I peeled off first two layers and applied 'mustard seed' distress ink. Put back the first washi tape layer back in place to mask off the first yellow stripe.

I removed the third panel off and applied spiced marmalade DI over panels #2 and #3. So with just 2 colors I have got 3 color panels now. Similarly I proceeded with picked raspberry DI over panels #4 and #5.

Panel #6 is created by blending picked raspberry & peacock feathers. #8 using peacock feathers and mustard seed

#9 is the Black Archival ink that you see. Finally once all panels were inked up, I inked the edges using black ink and splattered some water to create some droplets.

Then I stamped the sentiment using Varna's stampset and distressed the edges and adhered it to the centre of the card.

I also createda  custom envelope for this card and stamped some flowers on the front suing simple paper masking.

Hope you all like this card. Do let me know how this turned out!!

Happy crafting:)

You are my Sunshinee!

Hi all,
It is after a very long time that I am playing along a Mojo Monday sketch. This week's sketch is by Julee and I totally loved making something to go along with this. Here it goes.!

This is the sketch for this week.

I used two distressed panels for the left and right and used mustard seed distress ink to ink up the paned and create a background. And then do you want to know how i created those fun polka dots and heart shapes!!!!!! I simply made some stamps out of unused erasers i had on hand.. Yippee i had two new stamps use . I stamped them using the same inks. For the sentiment I used Varna's stamps that I had won from Ujjwal's Giveaway and put them to good use!

Lil late but nevertheless before the link ends!

Valentine Themed Mini Album!!

Hi Blogger Pals!!!!
Phew , how long has it been! I lose track of the days not crafting and blogging!!! But there is a new found interest here that is keeping me busy!!!
Super happy to announce that I am battling the chores of a 6 month old boy!! Yay to us!
We have named him Arjun :) Will share pictures when the family approves of it!

Valentine themed mini album
I am here today with a valentine themed mini album. I have been wanting to this for almost a year now but due to lack of supplies i was really scared of starting it. Then I came across Sonia's Blog which showed how to visualize a mini with a single 12x12 paper!!!!

Annnd did I have one... Yes, just a single yellow 12x12 sheet... So I gave it a try. I went back to Jess's blog for more detailed tutorial and boy was it easy!
Without a scoring board i somehow managed to get lines right and make the folds. This has 7 pockets which I used to create some flaps out of red and yellow card stock.

I don't have any stamps (Yet to invest in them) So I googled for some sentiments and wrote them out using black ink. [Credits to images at the end of the blog].

For the front I used handmade textured paper from Itsy Bitsy in deep-red shade. I have added some metal embellishments of a flower button and a leaf sliver. The 'Love' is made out of hot glue so is the heart symbol on top. I have added tiny punched flowers to add some additional touches.

The inside is plain as of now. I am not sure if i want to jazz it up at this point of time. Finally I have used silver fabric ribbon to tie the album together.

Supplies:
Papers : from Itsy Bitsy
Embellishments : stash
