Being Thankful!

Hey friends!
The year is coming to a close and we have a fresh year to look forward to. I wish to take thsi moment to pause and thank all those who made my crafting journey possible. Family, friends, relatives, co workers, supportes, you awesome blog readers and finally self. Thanks a lot for the belief and hopefully I create better things in the coming year.

I wanted a way to express this and also share it woth others using a simple means of expressions. So I came up with the bunch of tags below.

These bunch were taken off before the blink of an eye actually!
I cut tags of size 2X3 inches from various colored cardstocks and stamped a "I am Thankful For" note on all of them using my Impresso Stamping tool . That is as simple fo that.

I am sure the recipents will love the token of gratitude!!!

Hope you loved this project :)

Merry Christmas!!!

Jingle Bells all the way and it is the time of year I miss my school and Christmas festivities a lot!!!
Hello friends!

Wishing you all a merry Christmas and happy new year. There are a couple of Christmas cards lined up and here is the first one :)

I stamped the holly tree which is close to 6 inches tall on a white cardstock using Ranger Archival Black Ink and colored using watercolors the leaves and berries. I sponged some lime green chalk ink on the entire tree and cut it out as a triangle.
I then stamped the sentiment in Red cardstock and fuzzy cut it out and adhered to the tree.
I wanted to give a night background to this. So I sponged some Peacock feathers, Blue chalks and tuxedo black inks to give a light sponged effect. Finally added some stars using Signo White Gel pen.

These gorgeous stamps are from CraftyScrappers!

I am in Hog Heaven!!! Feat. MFT stencils and stamps

Hey there!
It is the last month of the year and all around the world there is this festive cheer of Christmas and the upcoming year. Will all that jubilation I have a fun and cute card to share with you all today. Here it is!

I have used the MFT Mixables Paisley stencil with Mementonto Tuxedo black ink an create a background here. Once done, I took a MDF chipboard cutout and painted it white using Camlin Texture Paste. I adhered it onto the centre to define a main focal point. Then I stamped the flying pig from the "Hog Heaven" stmapset from MFT. The sentiment goes perfectly with the image. I simply colored over the image using watercolor pencils.

Shine Bright!

Hey, friends!
I am sharing a bright card today. Here it is first!

I wanted to create this piece as tags first and layer them on top of each other. But then, it struck me that it would do well as a one layer card too.  SO I drew out the placements of the tags and stamped some encouraging sentiments from Itsy Bitsy stamps on each of the tags. I used my Impresso stamping tool to get good impressions. Also for the stars, I inked up the stamps in Versa mark and heat embossed with white embossing powder.
I sponged the whole card with various shades of distress ink and blended the whole card.

For the envelope, I made a custom envelope from a pattern paper and it looks so much better rather than being plain old white. What do you all think!

Beautiful butterflies

Hey fellas, Hope you all had a good thanksgiving :)
It must have been a long weekend for all those folks in the US and the UK and elsewhere who celebrate Thanksgiving :)

Anyways it was a pretty much routine weekend in my place and here is a quick card that I created.

And the envelope

:

I love this stamp set absolutely. This is from Mudra and I am totally in love with this one.  it has two beautiful butterflies that I have stamped in mild tones and kept the color palette to a minimum.
The sentiment just adds on nicely and it will be a perfect card for your mom or sister or your girl friends.

Here is the envelope and the back of card stamped with the same set :)

Fall themed card - Special greetings :)

Hey friends !
How are you all doing today. Hope you got a chance to look at the shaped card that I did a couple of days back. You can check it out here.

Today I have a fall themed card. I know it is not the season but it feels fresh to include those colors throughout the year and it really helps to add more vibrancy with minimal embellishments. Here it is first!

Card with matching envelope
For the card, I took a kraft card base of 4X6 inches (top folding). I added a mat of papericious naturals paper. This pack has some awesome papers fellas. You should totally check it out. I then added a Itsy Bitsy Color Yoga tag after coloring it with alternates of orange and yellow using sketch pens and smooshed distress inks for the backgrounds. Added a stip of colorful paper and a flower and some jute twine for the tag and assembled it all .

For the sentiment ,I stamped the base using Memento gum drops ink and heat embossed the sentiment from Mudra stamps.

Let me know what you feel about this guys.

You and Me! Shaped Card

Hey there friends!
It has been a really time since I blogged. Wor and travel have kind of kept things realy bisy.. I am sharing a really simple card that I made for a friend. I have used some new supplies and embellishments that I got and I am totally loving it.
Here it is first for you.

Banner shaped Card and matching envelope

I cut out this card using the Peek-a-boo designs fist tail banner nesting dies on some great mettalic cardstock.
I wanted to keep the embellishments really minimal and throw more focus on the shimmer on the paper. So I clear heat embossed on a die cut that I recieved as a gift using the versafine black ink to get that brilliant effect. I embossed multiple times to get it really shiny.

I added a butterfly and a few tiny roses to add interest.

For the envelope I used a 12X12 pattern paper and created a DIY envelope in the matching size. Here are a few more shots.
Some effects there :)

Vintage Shabby Chic style Wall Decor

Hey Blogger Pals!
I am sharing a mixed media layout/wall decor that I made for a trio of best friends. Here it is first!
Handmade Vintage Wall Decor for friends!

Handmade Vintage Wall Decor for friends!

This layout depicts the everlasting friendship of three friends from college and I thought what better way to emphasize than to have their names on it.
I have prepped the layout mdf with a coat of Camlin Texture white and stamped the leafy stamps from mudra. I painted over the stamped images using Acrylics. Once done, I added mdf laser cut embellishments of partial gate and corners.
For the name, I used mdf alphas for the first letter and stamped the rest of the name using Mudra Alpha stamps.
To create a messy layout, I distressed the panel with Picked Raspberry DI and stamped some mixed media stamps like scripts and honey comb from Itsy Bitsy, The sentiment stamp on the top is from Craftyscrappers and it adds such a nice touch :)
Finished off the layout with few flowers and leaves (from Hibiscus stamps - Mudra) and added the 'bff' for eternity :)
The back is kept pretty simple with a tag space for personal message.

Happy Birthday!!

Hey, there blogger pals :)

I am sharing a fun and simple card today that you can quickly make. One of my first supplies that I got when I started making cards was distress ink Mini kit #1. This kit has some fun colors that blend really well.

For today's card, I used picked raspberry, mustard seed and spiced marmalade to blend into one another in the card, offset to left. Once the blending was done I stamped a circular stamp using picked raspberry ink in random locations.

Finally, I finished off the card using the Happy Birthday sentiment from Mudra and mounted the panel onto Kraft card stock.

Let me know what you think of this fellas!

Supplies:
